The Full Response
In Acts 2:38–39, Peter answers the question “what shall we do?” with three experiences that are connected but not identical: salvation, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and water baptism. Salvation gives new life, the Spirit gives power to live it, and baptism publicly declares whose we are. God never intended us to stop short of everything He has provided — He is inviting us to make a full response.
